OVERALL APPEARANCE:
Standing at six feet tall Jason tends to loom over a lot of people, but despite his height his body tends to be on the more lanky side. He has a decent amount of muscle mass, but its not a lot as to where people can notice it right away. He keeps his hair in a semi-short cut but even then it tends to stick up as if he had just rolled out of bed. Jason also shaves pretty regularly but he keeps just the faintest hint of facial hair as it helps him look his age.
Fashion wise Jason has a pretty simple style of wearing t-shirts and jeans. If the weather calls for it he has a few jackets he can layer on and keep warm. Unlike most hunters he tends to wear sneakers as they make much less noise than heavy boots. Plus he finds them much more comfortable.
At a first glance Jason blends into a crowd by looking like a laid-back college student.

LIKES:
- mythology; he's always had a sort of interest in different cultural mythology especially about creatures
- goofing around; sometimes the best way to relax from a rough week is to just take some time and mess around and maybe play some pranks
- video games; when he has a few moments to spare for himself he likes to kickback and play some games to take his mind off of his problems
- indie pop; as much as his old college pals gave him hell for it he rather likes the style of that music as it makes him feel really upbeat and happy
- food; doesn't really matter what it is as long as it taste great, he isn't really much of a picky eater when it comes to eating as beggars can't be choosers
- comic books; in middle school he was notorious for collecting them and every now and then he pops into shops to see what they have now
- origami; its a bit of an odd habit he has when he's bored he just starts folding bits and scraps of paper to pass the time
- knowledge; he believes that knowledge is power because if you have it then you stay alive and in one piece a little longer
DISLIKES:
- doctors; he's never liked going to them as most of the visits usually ended up with getting jabbed with a needle
- immorality; he deeply dislikes it when people cross the very gray and thin line of humanely hunting creatures
- prejudice; just because he's not the most experienced hunter doesn't mean he's a complete idiot
- easy girls; although a lot of them are very pretty he would rather be around girls who have similar tastes as him
- egos; just because you think you're so big, bad, and awesome doesn't make it true
- filth; it was annoying enough as a kid to constantly need a bath, and yet as an adult he finds himself constantly covered in some gunk or another
- hunger; he doesn't like to feel hungry so he always keeps a stash of snacks somewhere near by just in case he doesn't have a chance to grab a bite to eat
- ignorance; it's what gets you killed most of the time
STRENGTHS:
- persistent; when he starts something he keeps at it until the very end no matter how long it takes him
- resourceful; he can think on his feet or use whatever happens to be around him when he's in a pinch
- strategic; he rarely jumps into things head first without thinking up a sort of plan, even if it is half-baked and spur-of-the-moment sort of plan
- approachable; he comes across as a really nice and friendly guy which makes it easier for people to open up and talk to him
- dependable; he never turns his back on anyone who needs his help
WEAKNESSES:
- diffident; he can never force people to do things he needs as he would rather try and talk them into helping him when he can
- family; he would do anything to keep his family safe even if it meant putting himself in danger
- awkward; sometimes he can come across as socially awkward and nervous when talking to fellow hunters despite the fact that he knows pretty much what he's doing
- girls; he can never really say no when a girl asks him for help and especially when the girl in question isn't so hard on the eyes
- trusting; sometimes he has too much faith in people than a hunter should have
FEARS:
- death; mostly finding out that all this time that his cousin really was dead
- failing; doesn't want to have to give up the search after putting so much effort into it
- blood; the sight of blood is enough to make him queasy especially if there’s a lot of it
- parent's disapproval; since he's become a hunter behind their back a part of him fears that they'll find out what he's doing with his life and try and drag him back home
- hypodermic needles; ever since he was a kid he has always had an aversion towards getting shots at the doctor's office and even to this day he doesn't like being anywhere near a needle

OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Jason is a pretty round-about mellow sort of person. He tends to be nice to everyone when he first meets them but once he gets a better feel for their character then he decides if he likes them or not. He is also pretty polite when talking to people that he thinks he should respect though around people his own age (usually girls) he can sometimes seem a bit awkward. Unlike most guys his age rather than bottle up his emotions and thoughts he likes to get them out into the open and deal with them so that he has a much clearer head when he’s working on something.
He can get mad but usually when that does happen he just gets really quiet. But it usually takes a lot to get him mad enough to want to take a swing at someone. He’s usually good at thinking about things before he acts out on his emotions recklessly. Though he can never really ignore the urge to help people he sees are in need. Whether if it’s a little thing they need help with or something on a larger scale. His kindness can sometimes lead himself into trouble as it makes him easier to manipulate.

HISTORY:
At an early age tragedy struck Jason's family as he had woken one morning to find out that his aunt and uncle had been murdered during the night by some deranged criminal. What made matters even worse was that they could not locate the body of his cousin even though they searched all throughout the house and most of the wooded area near the property. Though over the years the pain of losing part of his family Jason tried to move on from the memories from that incident, but the fact that his cousin's body was never found bothered him. Slowly he had began to wonder if it was even possible that maybe the police had gotten it wrong, and that his cousin had somehow survived the whole ordeal.
At first when he attempted to tell his parents about his theory he was met with a strong resistant as they were adamant about the police files being the truth. After many tries he had stopped trying to get his parents on board and slowly secretly began to plan a way to try and find his missing cousin on his own. After graduating highschool he packed up whatever he could make use of and began his search. Though he told his parents that he was heading off to college and for a semester he stayed in school. But once that was finished he left the school under the assumption that he was going to take a semester off and come back. As time passed by he never returned and the school simply chalked him up as another drop out. Though his parents believe that he is still in school from the occasional emails he manages to send them about how he's doing. Though they are entirely filled with lies about what he has really been doing.
Along the way to try and dig up answers he came across an odd case similar to the one he was following. Thinking that maybe there was a connection to his case he decided to follow it. Not long after researching around he bumped into an odd man who like him seemed to be quite interested in the case as well. Though the man seemed to want nothing to do with Jason as he kept his distance from him, but the further Jason investigated the more the man seemed to be at the same places he was. Finding this very suspicious Jason soon began keeping close tabs on the man as he had thought that perhaps he was the suspect he was looking for. One particular dark night Jason followed the man to the scene of the crime believing that the man was there to destroy possible evidence of his crime.
As quietly as he Jason followed the man into the house but not too long after entering inside that he was attacked. He had managed to fight it off and make enough noise long enough to get the odd man’s attention and he came storming over to where Jason was and shot at the thing. Once it was off Jason the man proceeded to fight with it until he finally landed a deadly blow and take it out completely. Unable to help himself Jason grabbed a closer look at what had attacked him and was utterly shocked at what he saw. The thing that had jumped him was in no way a person, it didn’t even look human. He thought that maybe he was going a little crazy until the man explained to Jason that not everything is as it seems in the world. That sometimes weird things happened to people and that monsters were sometimes behind those weird things. Upon hearing that Jason wondered if what had happened to his cousin was the result of some sort of monster attack. Wanting to know more about what was really out there he asked the man to teach him everything he knew.
At first the man was reluctant to teach Jason but after constant persisting the man gave in and took him under his wing. In a few short years he gained knowledge about what was really out there and with what he learned he began looking at his cousin’s case with fresh eyes. Knowing that he had many more possibly leads than before and slowly began tracking down as many as he could find. Despite not being the most experienced hunter out there he does a decent enough job to keep him in once piece for so long.

Jason stared down at the newspaper in front of him he quickly scanned the headlines for anything out of the ordinary, but after quickly reading the titles on it he found nothing. At least nothing on the front page which was possibly a good sign as anything big happened no matter how weird it was it would have been on the front page. Pushing the newspaper off to the side for a bit he picked up the diner menu that had been sitting underneath it the whole time. Flipping it open with ease he began to search for his options on what to order for lunch. He knew that he had wanted something that would warm his bones as he was still feeling the cold from the horrible weather outside. It had been pretty bad that he had to constantly wear two jackets whenever he stepped outside into what felt like almost sub-zero temperatures. Just to be on the safe side he had kept on his lighter jacket to keep him warm as every so often someone stepped into the diner and a gust of cold wind would whip around inside before shortly dying out.
