OVERALL APPEARANCE:
Zerachiel’s true form is unable to be observed by the human eye, her appearance able to cause death upon sight. In order to walk the earth the angel occupies a human vessel. Her current vessel stands approximately five foot, six inches, with a slender albeit curvaceous figure. Due to the manual labor hunting entails and her constant traveling, the female body has maintained its fitness, with delicately toned arms, legs, and abdomen. She is of fair complexion, both her cheeks and lips naturally rouged, Zerachiel’s angelic energy creating a pleasant outward glow. The hunter prefers a natural approach, and does not utilize the affects of makeup or accessories to draw attention to herself.
Her hair is of a medium length, pooling about her shoulders in faintly curled tresses of golden-blonde. Zerachiel simply allows the curls to fall freely, uncomfortable when her yellow mane is constrained, drawn taut against her head. The flaxen locks frame her face, accentuating her refined facial features, contrasting nicely with her eyes, which are a vivid shade of green. This particular vessel possesses a genuine beauty Zerachiel admires. Although she is not as stunning in comparison to prettified human women, the angel favors the subtle beauty, refusing to take part in products that are frequently used in order to enhance the outward appearance, distracting people from what is truly important—one’s inner qualities.
As for her choice wardrobe, Zerachiel does not dwell on the clothes she wears. She dresses in outfits that allow her to maneuver around without difficulty, choosing simplistic shirts, comfortable bottoms, and shoes that will endure her constant trekking across the United States. Her attire does not consist of a set pattern or scheme, Zerachiel merely sporting the garments that best benefit herself in the long run. The former archangel does however sport a sterling silver necklace with a cross-shaped pendant at all times.
• • DON'T GO AROUND TONIGHT,
well, it's bound to take your life
LIKES:
- God; despite his departure, Zerachiel still loves her Father.
- Earth; the planet is home to the human race, so naturally she adores the earth as well. She is fond of nature, particularly interested in the weather and differing climates across the globe. The former archangel is also fascinated by the wildlife, studying the creatures as she travels.
- Music; angels are known for their stunning voices and Zerachiel was fond of singing when in Heaven. On earth, she is greatly entertained by their music, amused by the various genres, and meanings hidden within the lyrics. However, she has not sung herself since her departure.
- Angels; she may have willingly rebelled against Michael and her brethren are voluntarily breaking the sixty-six seals as well as encouraging the apocalypse, however she can never hate them, and continues to love her siblings despite their differences.
- Harmony; living among siblings who constantly fight one another has strengthened Zerachiel’s love and support of a harmonic relationship. Wherever she decides to travel and whomever she meets, she strives to create peace, wishing to make a difference, if only a small one.
- Literature; when not on assignment, Zerachiel enjoys visiting the local libraries in order to read. She is fond of older novels—the so called classics—though she has attempted to read books recently published with the intention of learning more about this day and age.
- Humanity; the angel cherishes her Father’s beloved creation, astounded by their mixture of fragility and strength as well as their independence.
- Serving Humankind; God commanded the angels to serve humanity and Zerachiel has maintained her vow, rebelling against her brethren in order to watch over her Father’s creations. - Enmity; hatred leads to bloodshed and Zerachiel refuses to hate anything or anyone no matter their crime. She shows compassion to the good and the bad, hoping her benevolence will transform at least one person in the end.
- Bloodshed; the angel despises violence, especially when an innocent individual is harmed in any way, shape, or form. She has never understood those who are sadistic in nature, willingly injuring another; it repulses her.
- Uncertainty; her current predicament has created uncertainty to develop, contaminating her once unwavering faith in the Lord and her brethren, and inevitably altering Zerachiel’s life, enveloping her in doubt.
- Technology; she prefers books to computers and a handwritten note to email, but she is attempting to understand the hype surrounding manmade technology. The angel longs for previous eras where cell phones and televisions were not mandatory.
- Human Routine; Zerachiel is not accustomed to the human lifestyle and is making a great effort to assimilate into their way of life. However, she is not fond of human cuisine or sleep, deeming them both a weakness as well as a hindrance in the long run.
- Harmful Substances; human’s easily develop an addiction to certain substances such as alcohol, cigarettes, and various drugs, frequently abusing them, and harming both their body and mind in the process. The angel is opposed to these damaging materials and will assert herself when they are in use—like it or not.

She only resorts to the aforementioned when hunting and only when absolutely necessary. Zerachiel merely wishes to serve humankind and she cares deeply for her Father’s creation. Her compassion is the former archangel’s most notable attribute.
- Strong-minded; in spite of her ever-growing reservations, Zerachiel retains her composure so as to carry on the duties bestowed upon her; not allowing herself to succumb to the uncertainty and constant struggle of adapting to mortality.
WEAKNESSES:
- Blunt; she is not accustomed to emotion and although she is sincere, Zerachiel is also extremely direct when speaking—unable to lie—occasionally infuriating those she decides to approach.
- Assertive; the hunter’s inability to fully comprehend human emotions, gestures, and actions, causes her to appear somewhat assertive upon meeting, in spite of her simple desire to lend individuals in need of assistance a helping hand; by no means, does Zerachiel wish to harm or mislead a person.
- Uncertain; her current predicament has created uncertainty to develop, contaminating her once unwavering faith in the Lord and her brethren, and inevitably altering Zerachiel’s life, enveloping her in doubt.
- Lack of Knowledge; Zerachiel lacks proper knowledge of the earthen lifestyle, which manages to frequently impede upon her duties. She is struggling to conform to the alien way of life, unable to fully comprehend human emotions, gestures, and actions that are otherwise obvious to the planet’s inhabitants.
- Departure from Heaven; gradually, the angel is losing her immortality as well as her angelic abilities due to her extensive separation from Heaven—severely weakening Zerachiel overtime.
FEARS:
- Failure; God commanded the angels to serve humanity and Zerachiel has maintained her vow, rebelling against her brethren in order to watch over her Father’s creations. Failing to assist those in need greatly troubles the angel, bearing in mind she deems aiding the human race the one and only purpose behind her existence.
- Mortality; the former archangel had once been fervently devoted to her elder brother Michael, heeding each and every one of his demands without question; Zerachiel never envisioned herself parting ways with her siblings in order to walk the earth. Although she knows her remaining ties to Heaven will eventually be severed, she fears the inevitable lose of the life she has known since creation.
- The Future; from the time of her birth, the definition of destiny was programmed into her beliefs; that any and everything that transpired had been fated to occur, and not one soul had the power to alter the preordained future God had created decades previously. The end of the world is allegedly inevitable and she fears for the impending future of the human race.
- Being Alone; prior to her departure, Zerachiel was constantly accompanied by her brethren as well as her colleague Ithuriel. On earth she is unaided on her journey, the affects of her voluntary isolation gradually influencing her morale, especially considering she is struggling to conform to the human lifestyle, which is alien to her.
- The Apocalypse; regardless of who reigns victorious, the confrontation between Michael and Lucifer will gravely impact the majority of those who inhabit the earth, creating unnecessary bloodshed and destruction of the life they have grown accustomed to.
POWERS & ABILITIES:
Although Zerachiel’s angelic powers have been severely weakened overtime, she is still physically stronger than humans, and has retained a select few of her abilities:
- Healing; the angel can heal minor physical wounds and broken bones, however extreme exhaustion is an unavoidable side affect.
- Empathy; she can obtain a sense of an individual’s emotions, the connection broadened upon contact.
- Teleportation; Zerachiel rarely utilizes her ability to teleport, the act of teleportation now detrimental to her health.
- Clairvoyance; the hunter is often aware of the supernatural, able to feel a presence otherwise invisible to the human eye.
- Enhanced Strength and Endurance; she can easily overpower a human with her superior strength, and is difficult to harm by means of manmade weapons, or physical combat, unless her foe is of the supernatural.
OVERALL PERSONALITY:
The angel maintains a steady stoic demeanor, rarely exhibiting any form of emotion. Zerachiel is not accustomed to feeling as humans do, though her descent from immortality is exposing her to once alien sensations, which she has been able to restrain up until now. Her lack of knowledge concerning emotions both confuses her and impedes upon her day-to-day routine, making it more difficult for her to comprehend the earthen lifestyle. She is uncomfortable displaying her feelings, tending to catch herself before she succumbs to the sensations continuously plaguing her thoughts, and developing within her heart.
She is a benevolent entity, resorting to violence only when combating the supernatural beings that prey upon humankind. Zerachiel cannot bring herself to hate anyone, no matter the quantity or severity of their sins, strongly believing that there is good in everyone, easily forgiving those who are deemed corrupted or lost souls, striving to lead them from the dark into the light. Even when a situation seems hopeless, she perseveres, lending a hand, and promising a shoulder to cry on when in need, despite many peoples’ reluctance to believe her. Instead of giving up, Zerachiel proves her loyalty by asserting herself and enduring verbal as well as physical abuse, remaining resilient through both the thick and the thin.
Zerachiel’s determination is unwavering, though it is considered a pro and a con—holding her back on numerous occasions. However, it is her strength of mind and willingness to overcome any and all obstacles she may encounter that has kept her alive century after century; it is also the basis of her refusal to surrender to the darkness that has rapidly spread among angels, demons, and humans alike, and the set of morals she has abided by since creation. Zerachiel is firm in her beliefs and in humanity, even though her faith in the Lord and her brethren has been shaken.

don't go around tonight
HISTORY:
Once Zerachiel—name meaning God’s Command—was one of the seven archangels mentioned in the Book of Enoch, created in order to assist the Archangel Michael alongside her sibling Ithuriel. Her secondary role was that of an angel of healing and on occasion, she would lead souls to judgment, Zerachiel rarely leaving Heaven since her conception unless ordered to do so. She preferred to avoid drawing attention to herself, working primarily behind the scenes, carrying on the duties bestowed upon her without question. Unlike the majority of her angelic brethren, Zerachiel was known for her benevolent nature, and diplomatic approach, which set her apart from the other angels, who preferred to convey their thoughts with actions rather than words.
Eventually, the Lord created earth and then humankind. He commanded the angels to watch over as well as serve humanity, which Zerachiel agreed to do without protest, developing an unconditional love for the planet and its inhabitants. However, there were those who refused to bow down to the human race, the angel Lucifer the first of many to fall from grace. The battle had been brief, though afterward hostility grew between her family members, loyalties constantly being tested, and suspicion growing; infiltrating their ranks as questions arose contaminating their once unwavering faith. Zerachiel’s life retained its day by day routine, the lesser angelic warriors instructed to cleanup the aftereffects of Lucifer’s rebellion.
Decades passed before Zerachiel chose to walk the earth herself. Humanity had traversed into the twenty-first century, Heaven managed by the Archangel Michael since their Father’s departure years prior. The head of the Holy Host made the decision to assist the demons in breaking the sixty-six seals to release Lucifer from his prison within the pit, voluntarily initiating the apocalypse. Although, Michael believed his intentions true and victory imminent, Zerachiel disagreed with her brother’s resolution, fearing for the human who would be greatly impinged upon by the ongoing war amongst Heaven and Hell. She could not bear to take part in such destruction, preferring to defy orders and siding with man.
Subsequent to her leaving, Zerachiel began hunting the supernatural—demons for the most part— with the intention of assisting those the entities preyed on. Over the course of her time spent away from Heaven, the angel’s abilities gradually weakened—the loss of her immortality inevitable—which hindered Zerachiel in the long run. Continuing to aid humanity, she now has to educate herself in the earthen lifestyle, Zerachiel required to rely heavily on their means of survival so as to stay alive as long as she is able.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
The interior of the bar reeked of alcohol and cigarette smoke. Zerachiel disregarded the pungent aroma, her eyes wandering over the building’s inhabitants until they fell onto the figure of a man she recalled from a dream. However, she knew that Lucifer did not yet inhabit the vessel, and she wished to meet the human the fallen angel would eventually occupy. His name was Nick and a fresh wave of sympathy washed over her as she remembered the news broadcast, which detailed the gruesome murder of both his wife and child. He had been deprived of his family and once Lucifer broke free from the confines of the pit, Nick would cross the threshold into her siblings’ age-old rivalry.
She calmly walked over to the man, seating herself beside him without an invitation. It had taken her a while to track Nick all the way to Pike Creek, Delaware, as well as to identify the vessel Lucifer had taken the form of; with the majority of her powers rendered inoperative, the angel had to use human methods in order to do so—which proved to be easier said than done. However, she did not regret the research or the journey. Everything happened for a reason; the good and the bad
Zerachiel felt the grief coursing through Nick, suppressing a shiver as the sorrow enveloped her. She had witnessed the death of her brothers and sisters on countless occasions, but the sadness usually faded away—life must go on. Unlike the individual beside her, he had shared an intense bond with his spouse and child, which outranked her love for even Michael. She deeply cared for her siblings, however angels lacked the profound emotional spectrum of humans; Zerachiel could not begin to fathom the adoration he felt toward the now deceased Sarah and infant. It overwhelmed her.
“The consumption of alcohol will not heal your wounds,” she said, seizing the liquor bottle from his hand without warning. “It will merely numb you to the pain temporarily, Nick.”
