SIDNEY, MONTANA
It should have been a routine mission. Casey could have kicked himself… if his wrists and ankles hadn’t been tied up. He had been on the hunt for a wendigo making trouble in the forests near Sidney but like a newbie he had been caught. The only good thing about the situation was that Casey had heard rumors of another hunter trying to go after this wendigo as well so there might be a chance he’d get back-up or the very least a very unwilling rescuer. There was a pain in his side that Casey knew wasn’t a good sign. It prickled a little, nothing too horrendously painful but Caleb could only glimpse red on his shirt. At the angle he was hanging he couldn’t even tell if it was a serious wound or if he got lucky with a bad scratch.
Casey grumbled out a few curses as he blinked and looked at his surroundings. The cave was dank, dark and filthy- just what he would have expected but he was more concerned about finding any other survivors. The lack of light didn’t help him very much but Casey was able to make out some figures in the distance, huddled over. Unfortunately when he called out to them they didn’t respond. Poor fools. They were probably dead or beyond hope. Casey groaned before trying to figure out a way out of this dilemma despite being bound and bleeding.

Luke stood at the entrance of the cave peering in, trying to get a sense of what they were up against. It was almost impossible too see however so he brought out his flashlight and slowly made his way in. He was alone in this one, from what he had been able to find out, there was already a hunter on the case who hadn't come back yet. Bringing his gun out, just in case and gripping his flashlight tighter, he made his way in.
At first he didn't really come across anything, it was fairly quiet and that made him a bit nervous. Luke was trying to get to the wendigo and it was just a bit too quiet for his taste. As he stepped in further into the cave he heard a muffled voice calling out. He paused trying to gauge the situation. The voice sounded more panicked then anything so he picked up his pace. Perhaps this was the hunter that he had heard about in town. Focusing on the voice he was able to cut left down another path further down.
Coming closer he saw that someone was tied up. He glanced around quickly, waiting for something to attack at any given moment and when it didn't he stepped towards the figure, his gun out and ready to fire if the situation called for it.
"Who are you?"

Casey lifted his head up when he heard someone approaching and relief was rekindled in his mind. This could possibly be the other hunter- hopefully it was so he could finally get out of this hell hole. He clenched his jaw for a moment, feeling a bit queasy and figured he was losing more blood than he originally thought. The wound was probably much deeper than a scratch. Casey still couldn't gauge if it was very serious or not but he wanted to figure that out sooner rather than later.
He would have smirked seeing the man who approached if his usual spirits had been up. "The name's Casey. Would you be a sweetheart and cut me down, please? I really don't want to pass out from bloodloss." Casey would have shrugged his shoulders but tied up the way he was- that wasn't going to happen.

Luke chose to ignore the sweetheart comment and came forward crouching down and pulling out his pocketknife. It was going to be easier just to take care of it like this instead of taking the time to try and untie everything. He cut each bind before helping Casey up and grinning at him and holding out his hand for a handshake. It wasn't often he ran into hunters close to his age, and he looked as if he was only just a little older.
"Luke Dale"
Luke knew of a lot of hunters from working with father, yet he had never heard of this boy or his family. Luke was curious about this new hunter in front him and wondered if he was a local, or if he was a traveling hunter like himself. Often time when he came across others they were also traveling, but occasionally he would meet someone who stuck close to home.
"You from around here?"

Casey's grin widened. "Thanks a bunch, that was more than uncomfortable." He laughed, taking Luke's hand and giving it a firm shake. He tilted his head to the side for a moment, discreetly looking the other hunter over. He was pretty hot. When Casey was sure Luke wasn't paying attention to him as much, he let his eyes swiftly travel up and down to appreciate Luke's good looks. Even if he was caught, he wouldn't be that ashamed of it. Attraction was a natural thing- it just sort of happened.
"No, not from around here at all." He shrugged. "Traveling around looking for hunts on my own is all. I got careless and as you can see, here I am." Casey winced, feeling his side and making a tsk like sound. "That's not good." He mumbled, seeing the blood all over his shirt. Casey glanced around the cave, looking to see if his pack had been thrown around in the cave and if he could still find his first-aid kit. It wouldn't be the proper kind of care he needed but he might be able to stop the bleeding.

When the other hunter, Casey, smile, Luke felt as if his stomach dipped every so slightly. It was a fairly pleasant feeling and he had always been a sucker for a good smile. Then Casey's eyes swept over him and his glance was appreciative and Luke felt himself flush and he ducked his head a bit. It wasn't that he didn't appreciate the attention, he did, especially from this new hunter but he had always been the shy one of the family. Luke had never really been the center of attention in most situations so he couldn't help the blush he felt creeping up his neck.
When Casey winced Luke found his eyes immediately following his down to the wound at his side, his shirt was covered in blood and Luke's brow furrowed in concern. He stepped forward and moved his hands towards the hem of Casey's shirt, before proceeding however he looked up at the other hunter.
"Your right, that's not good. Mind if I take a look? I have a first aid kit in my bag and I can fix it up for you if you'd like"

Casey's grin widened even more as Luke ducked his head. Bingo. Maybe this attraction wasn't one-sided and that was very good news. He could attempt to give him a wink, or innocent unintentional little touch to try to test the waters. It had been awhile since he had had compansionship with anyone. Being able to flirt and do the whole dance that came with attraction and chemistry would be fun and possibly lead to some...wonderful nights.
Casey got his head out of the gutter, taken aback when Luke approached him and blinked in surprise.
Casey flushed a bright pink but then nodded, "Go ahead," It's not that he had any problems being looked at but he hated showing weakness. Showing weakness in front of a very attractive man was like a double wammy to his pride. He would have groaned if it wouldn't be another way of showing weakness.

Luke pulled his bag off over his shoulder and shifted through it until he found what he was looking for. He then glanced up at Casey and offered him a reassuring smile before proceeding to lift up his shirt. He let out a pained noise at the wound and looked up at Casey again.
"I'm going to have to stitch this up"
The first thing he needed to do however was clean it. It was going to hurt, both this part and the stitching and as he dabbed the wound in disinfectant he held his breath, waiting for any sign from Casey that he needed to stop. He had stitched himself up enough times to know that this was not a fun experience. Once he got to the actual stitching he felt a know form in his stomach, he wasn't used to doing this to others and he didn't want to hurt him. It was something that needed to be done though, so he dutifully finished up. Glancing up occasionally to catch a grimace on Casey's face. Luke felt bad, but when he was finished he knew that as long as Casey kept an eye on it, the wound would heal up nicely.

Casey tried holding most of the pain in but couldn't help letting out a few winces. He would have been proud of himself for his resolve and self-control but he was completely humiliated. Every time Luke looked at him to make sure he was all right Casey just ended up blushing in embarrassment. Any thoughts of trying to flirt with the handsome man before him were now completely gone.
"Thank you," Casey cleared his throat awkwardly when Luke finished up, offering him a slight smile but his high spirits had dropped dramatically. He put his shirt back on, knowing it looked bad but it was the only thing he could wear.
"Do you know where the wendigo might have gone?" Casey asked, getting back into business mode. There was a hunt and it needed solving. The sooner it was over...the sooner he could try to bury his shame and forget this whole ordeal ever happened. "It left the cave after doing this to me but I lost track of which direction it might have been heading."

When he finished up Casey seemed to have put up a wall and distanced himself and Luke couldn't help but frown, feeling as if he had offended him. He was about to offer him a spare shirt, but though better of it, not wanting to further offend him. Luke took a step back, wanting to respect his personal space.
"I'm not too sure, when I came in here it was dead silent. It made me nervous, I expected to walk right into some sort of fight. But it was quiet. Too quiet if you ask me"
With his brain shifting gears he was able to to distract himself from whatever questions had been forming in his mind about Casey. It made him nervous that still, nothing had come out. It could be that the Wendigo had moved on and he had been narrowly missed but somehow he doubted that. Life as a hunter was more often unlucky then not. It struck him that he probably should have questioned the other hunter about this sooner.
"What restrained you? Was there more then one thing?"

Casey crossed his arms, feeling even more inadequate. A dark cloud descended on him but he tried to push it back. "I got careless. I thought I had it but the one took me down fairly quickly." A dark blush rushed up his neck to his face but he forced it down. "It took me down in one swing and I woke up all tied up." Weakness. He was swimming in it and it was humiliating.
He looked up at Luke quickly, figuring it would be better to get this whole attraction ordeal out of the way so he wouldn't have to deal with the humiliation later. "Okay, let me get this out of the way really quickly so I can focus on the task at hand. You're hot. And I was being stupid and reckless on this hunt but I'm not weak." Casey stared at Luke for a moment, making sure to emphasis the not weak part
Casey sighed, relieved getting that out of the way. His block went down though his mind was still on the hunt. "Now that's out of the way and I can stir in humiliation right now, let's kill this son of a bitch before it hurts more people."

Luke frowned again, unsure of what to make of the sudden shift in Casey's demeanor. He kept saying he was being careless and Luke didn't want him to beat himself up over it. Luke wanted his help on this, he knew that they could both use the help and it was always a nice change to have another on a hunt with him. He wanted to catch this thing just as much as the other boy did, but the shift was still bothersome to him. Luke made sure to observe people when meeting them, he had been that way since he was a child, he loved to simply watch and learn about people before getting himself involved. There was no time for that right now though, and he wanted to clear the air before they went chasing after something together.
When Casey went to step away, off to find the wendigo and take care of it Luke had a moment of panic and he didn't want to continue just yet. Not until the air was cleared a lot. So before Casey could get too far Luke reached out and grabbed a hold of his wrist. The words died in his throat momentarily as his hold tightened on him, this was new. After just a moment of just staring he snapped out of it.
"I am sorry if I have done something to offend you Casey, I don't not wish to be a burden to your task"

Casey blinked in surprise when Luke stopped him and watched him intently, not really sure why there weren't heading out already. There was a hunt to do and not much time until the wendigo decided to attack another helpless victim.
"Did you not hear me or something?" Casey paused, confused. "I'm not offended by you. I'm attracted to you and I just made a fool out of myself in front of you. I don't like being weak or looking weak and this is out of my comfort zone." He sighed, trying to articulate his feelings. Casey wanted to pull his arm away but didn't want to add to any of Luke's doubts. "Are you offended?" He asked sort of offhandedly. "Most guys I run into wanna run the other direction when I admit I find them attractive."
Casey looked down at where Luke was holding his arm. "Nooow, can you let go of my arm so this can stop being awkward?" He asked, in a defeated tone.

It took a moment for look to process what he was saying, but he didn't want him to run off quiet yet so he tightened his grip until his mouth was able to catch up with his mind. Casey found him attractive, he wasn't used to the attention and he felt his heart beat pick up. He was nervous and he knew the other boy would be able to tell. He had to get over his shyness for right now though because it was important to him.
"I apologize, I am not used to this. I was unsure of how to respond"
Still he didn't release his grip as he scrambled for what to say next. He did not want to mess this up and he did not want Casey to believe that he did not return the attraction. He did of course. Casey was gorgeous, for lack of a better word. He seemed to cause all of Luke's nerves to flair p at a higher rate then normal.
"I think the same of you. I find you, well, I find you to be attractive as well. I wish to get to know you better after this is all over"
He blushed and bit his lip, looking down at his feet he finally released his hold on Casey's wrist. He was always so unsure in situations like this and more often then not, it held him back. Luke hoped this wasn't the case this time.

Casey was initially annoyed by the fact that Luke only tightened his grip instead of letting him go. He was going to tell him off but then Luke started talking again and took him by storm.
Casey blinked in surprise, not really sure he was hearing it correctly. "Seriously?" He wasn't used to this sort of thing happening. Sure, Casey was forward and tended to express his interest but for Luke to come right back and say he thought he was attractive too...? Things like that didn't happen and Casey was trying to scramble for his thoughts.
He tilted his head to the side as Luke let him go. Then a sly smirk appeared on his lips as he eyed Luke carefully. "Well then, I'll let you take me out to dinner once this was all over." Casey declared. He was usually the one buying and catering to the needs of the various girls he met. This time he wanted to be the one spoiled and taken care of. "Let's seal it with a kiss, shall we?" Casey leaned up, pulling Luke down gently and gave him a kiss. It was not chaste by any means but it was simple and held lots of promises. He pulled back, flushed but smirking and looking very satisfied.
"Let's go kill this freak of nature then, shall we?"
