Luke felt his heart beat pick up when Casey mentioned the two of them doing dinner. This meant they weren't going to just split after all of this was over and instead of being uncomfortable with this though, he felt a thrum of excitement course through him. This was new and unexpected and he was pleased, there was no denying that. But his thoughts all came to a halt when Casey stepped forward and pressed his lips to Luke's and he felt his knees buckle. It was sweet and promising and Luke couldn't help but allow his lips to quirk up into a smile once it was over. Once he found his voice he was actually able to respond.
"Yes, that would be wise, it has to be here somewhere"
Too his disappointment his voice was a bit shaky and he could feel the heat spreading across his cheeks and this time his smile was a little more sheepish and embarrassed. He led the way, pulling out his flashlight again and stepping around back towards the path he had previously come from to try out the other path he had almost taken earlier, his lips still quirked up in a smile.

"And I hate alcohol so if you take me to a bar I'll slug you," Casey added dryly, though it wasn't clear if he was serious or not. Sometimes Casey tended to be rather witty with dry or sarcastic humor. He grinned smugly, however, when he saw Luke's smile. He always was fairly good with the ladies but figuring out he was fairly good with a man was good for his ego. "You're buying," Casey reminded Luke with a mumble before his mind was back on track.
"All right, I'll follow your lead." Casey was fairly glad he didn't have to be the one in the front. Considering his ill judgement, rash behavior and bad luck...Casey wouldn't have been surprised if the wendigo came out of nowhere and attacked him again. At least this Luke guy seemed to be fairly level-headed and cautious. That was a very good thing.

A wide smile stretched across Luke's face. Casey was forward and open and everything that Luke wasn't and he already was enjoying that fact about him. It was hard being as shy as he was sometimes because often times he didn't know how to talk to people. Casey had made all of the first moves this time around, the least Luke could do was buy him dinner.
"You've got yourself a deal"
Luke said glancing behind him to make sure he was following close behind. Coming up he was unsure of where to go from here. The caves were deep and there seemed to be more forks in the road then he previously remembered. This wasn't how this mission was supposed to go, it was supposed to be a simple one, but it seemed this creature was more powerful than he had originally given it credit for. Losing a bit of confidence he slowed down and turned back towards Casey.
"What do you think? We can head back up and try a different path, or we can keep going, I don't know where this thing goes"
He wanted his opinion before they got into any type of sticky situation.

Casey was about to shrug, not really sure which was the right decision but a growl stopped him. He perked up, staring at path before them. The sound of flesh being ripped off bones echoed through the caves before another bark-like noise was heard.
"We have our target," Casey had to hold back happy laughter, whispering instead. He felt a bit of euphoria. If they got the mission done really quickly then he could have his dinner with Luke. Casey wondered briefly if Luke would be open to making out later despite only meeting today. He had always wanted to make out with a guy. In the past he'd only gotten lucky with girls though.
Casey shook those thoughts away, his mind keen on the mission as he took the dagger he always held in his boot out and readying himself. If the wendigo tried attacking him again at least he'd have some sort of defense.

Luke reacted too the growl just as Casey did and the two of them both whipped around. Excitement swirled in his stomach as it always did with a hunt, but he felt that maybe it was more then just that causing the excitement. They had to finish the task at hand and then Luke would be able to spend time with Casey that wasn't in the depths of a cave. It wasn't often that Luke had the chance to go on dates, and he was excited for the opportunity to go with someone who he already liked so much.
He grinned Casey readied himself, pulling out his dagger. Luke followed his lead, pulling his gun back into position and proceeding forward. The two of them moved towards the sound. Coming around the corner the Wendigo lunged towards both of them and they jumped apart. Luke reacted quickly aiming and firing. He missed his first time, it was moving fast. He wasn't discouraged though, he had done this plenty of times and he could appreciate that Casey was good with a knife.
"We've got this" he grinned and shot a quick wink in Casey's direction.

Casey thoroughly enjoyed the wink, grinning appreciately at it before his mind went back to task. He let out a yelp of surprise, something he would refuse to have had done later, when the wendigo changed it's tactics and went straight for him. Casey dodged out of the way and threw the dagger so that it hit the wendigo straight in the leg to slow it down.
Casey rolled to get out of the way and then jumped back up to his feet, readying himself for if the wendigo decided to come at him again. He really didn't know what it was but this particular monster seemed to have a beef with him specifically. Casey hoped he wouldn't get injured again. He already was a bit slower and tired because of the last time it swiped him. He gave Luke a hesitant smile, wanting to ask for his help keeping the creature at bay but also not wanting to alert it to their plans.

Luke saw the Wendigo lunge at Casey and for just a moment he was panicked. Casey however, was able to get himself out of the way from the attack. It was paying little attention to Luke, which was odd, but it did put him at an extreme advantage. He made his way around a little bit, making sure he’d be able to react quickly if something got out of hand between the hunter and the creature but still giving him a second to figure out what his next move would be. Luke caught the smile that Casey threw in his direction and he decided now was as good as ever.
In one swift motion he had cocked his gun and fired. That one shot wouldn’t be enough but it wounded the creature and gave them both basically a clear shot at it. He fired another one, being sure to keep his shots aimed away from Casey’s general direction, not wanting to catch him with any stray bullets. He wanted Casey to have the final shot, to get that last killing hit in after he’d been put though so much through out the day.
“Take him, he’s yours”
He tossed a grin in his direction and stepped back just a step, still ready to jump in if needed, but the other hunter basically had a clear shot now.

Casey winked at Luke, taking a hold of the gun with satisfaction. He aimed at the wendigo, smirking. "Take this, you son of a bitch." He laughed softly before making the shot. It echoed throughout the cave and Casey wasn't completely happy until he went over and made sure that it was dead. It's corpse didn't move when he prodded it and just for extra measure Casey shot it a couple more times.
The cave would be avoided from now on because of the stench of the dead wendigo. He was sure that hikers would leave it alone because of the smells coming out of the cave and the other creatures in the wilderness would stay clear out of instinctual fear. Everything was neatly wrapped up in this case.
"Good, now that's over this," Casey went over to Luke, handing him the gun with a sliver of a smile on his face. "All right then, you owe me a date." Casey wanted to be flirtatious but he didn't want Luke to feel overwhelmed-considering he seemed a bit on the shy and quiet side.

Luke couldn’t help but laugh when Casey went back and proceeded to shoot the Wendigo a few more times. He had to give him props though, better safe then sorry. After a quick survey of the area and making sure there was no other danger they decided to call this one a success. Not they could move on to other things. Things like the date that Luke had promised the other boy.
Luke was nervous. It had been a long time since he had been on a date, and he didn’t do one on one time with most people. He was excited for this though, he was pretty certain that the two of them had potential. After all, opposites do attract. Casey was everything that Luke wasn’t. He was out going, he was loud and he was open while Luke tended to be the opposite of all of that. Still, maybe he could set his shyness aside this once because he really wanted to see where this could go. Luke reached out and grabbed onto Casey’s arm, feeling himself blush slightly as he did and gently pulled him forward to follow his lead.
“How do you feel about pancakes?

Casey was momentarily caught off-guard when Luke took hold of his arm. He had gotten quite used to his shyness so the fact that he was stepping out of his comfort zone and being more assertive made him smile. "Breakfast for dinner? Works for me," His mother always had had a habit of doing crazy things for dinner so Casey was up for really anything.
And the fact that it wasn't a bar where everyone would look at him funny for not ordering alcohol made it all the sweeter. This date was going to be very interesting, especially since it was his first date with a man before. Luke was very handsome and he contented himself in watching him intently. Handsome with a charming smile and great personality? Sign him up. Casey laughed, more than happy to follow Luke and let him lead the way to the restaurant.

Casey was sitting across from him at a small diner that was just a few blocks away from the motel that he was staying at. He had stopped by the previous night and had enjoyed their food, so he figured it would be a good place to take the other hunter. Luke took a moment to admire the other boy. Casey was attractive and Luke found himself more drawn to him then he ever had been to another boy. Relationships were messy, difficult and often times he ended up hurt so he didn’t often invest in them. But the way his stomach was filled with butterflies and his heart beat quickly when their knees bumped under the table, he thought that maybe this was worth it. He ordered himself a cup of coffee and some pancakes and waited for Casey to do the same. When the waitress walked away considered what he could say without sounding too awkward. He was so nervous.
“Where are you from?”
It was stupid, but it was too the point and he figured he might as well learn more about the boy after developing such an interest for him. Luke knew that he was shy and that he was awkward, but he could only hope that Casey would be able to see past all of that because he really wanted to get to know him.

Casey ordered the same thing as Luke, thinking it sounded good. A nice cup of coffee and some hot food would really hit the spot. "A little suburb just out of New York City," He smiled, thinking back to all the good memories. Until his mother disappeared he had vowed to find her he had had a good collection of friends and accomplishments. Ah well.
"What about you?" Casey stretched out his arms, not wanting to be rude but wanting to get the kink out of his shoulders from all the action today. It wasn't often he faced a wendigo. Most of the other creatures like vampires and zombies he could take down fairly quickly.
"This is the first time I've ever been on a date with a boy before," Casey laughed. "I don't really know how this goes or if it's any different." He figured honesty was the best policy and better to let Luke know now so they'd both end up figuring this out together.

When Casey said he was from New York, Luke felt himself smile. Luke loved New York. It wasn't often that he actually got to head up there for a case, but he had been a few times and it reminded him a lot of London, which was just a couple of hours away from his hometown. Luke hoped that he'd go back again, maybe now that he knew Casey it wold be a possibility.
"I'm from Devon. It's a little town in England." He paused and his smile turned into a frown momentarily. He missed it there. "Well after we moved to America we moved to Raleigh, North Carolina"
He loved North Carolina as well and he thought of his parents and his little sister at home. His little sister would love Casey, he knew that much. If he stuck around Luke absolutely had to take Casey home to his family. He realized Casey was speaking again however and he shook himself out of his thoughts.
"A date is a date, we're supposed to have fun together. More or less the same concept"
He threw a wink in at the end, surprising himself with his forwardness.

"That explains your charming accent," Casey flirted with a quirky smile. He couldn't resist. Luke's reactions made his skin prickle all over his unadulterated attraction. "I think you could ask me to do anything and I wouldn't be able to resist." He let out a soft laugh.
Casey flushed in appreciation of the wink, smirking. "Do more of that, Lucas Dale and you might just lure me into your bed tonight." He knew that was a very forward comment but he just wasn't able to stop himself. If Luke took the time to be more outgoing like he was trying to do right now, he would probably be a very lucky man and get anyone he wanted.
Almost lazily, Casey drank at his coffee, thanking the waitress when she brought it by. She eyed him with interest but Casey didn't notice- his full attention on Luke. "If you need anything at all. Just let me know, handsome." She flirted, not even realizing the two men were on a date.

Luke could feel himself flush, and he grinned, trying to hide the fact that he was blushing. He momentarily cursed how shy he was. Luke temporarily seemed to have lost the ability to speak so he reached out and brushed his fingers against Casey's knuckles hoping that he was able to get his point across. He was about to say something when the waitress brought their food out.
He noticed her watching Casey, noticed the way she smiled gazing down at him through her eyelashes. It didn't draw his attention away from Luke though and he felt himself smirk. This was turning out to be quite a good date so far and it had only just begun.
"Tell me more about yourself, Casey. All this talk about me taking you to bed and I hardly know a thing about you"
He smiled, he genuinely wanted to know more about him. He seemed interesting and he had proven himself to be quite an exceptional hunter. Luke found himself very drawn to him and he couldn't help but wonder what else he was capable of.
