Gwen had to keep herself in line throughout the night. The worry in her gut increased as she drove over to pick up Shiloh and Dean. She would have yelled at Dean if he hadn’t charmed her with his drunken confession. It was sweet… idiotic but sweet. The whole drive back would have been complete silence if Shiloh hadn’t been there to explain what had happened and grumble about Dean getting drunk. She had to hand it to Shiloh; the girl took on some injuries to protect Dean for her. She had helped patch her up before helping Dean off to bed.
If it had been anyone else Gwen would have had no problem undressing them and getting them into bed but she was so flustered even by just the idea of doing that for Dean that instead she let him rest on the bed fully clothed. It wouldn’t be the most comfortable but he would wake up in the morning and be able to shower and change.
Gwen watched him fall sleep. She sat by his beside and held his hand in hers all the while murmuring comforts, laughing at his attempts at joking and just made sure he was safe. Her over-protective binge died down once Dean closed his eyes finally and had faded fast asleep.
“Don’t get drunk next time, okay?” She mumbled before resting her head against the bed, still holding Dean’s hand. "You gave me a freakin heart attack, you jerk." In no time at all she was fast asleep,

Dean had pretty much passed out as soon as he had laid his head down on the soft pillow of his motel bed. He was barely aware of the sound of Gwen's voice but he still somehow managed to be put at ease by it. He slept quite undisturbed as he was pretty tired out from the night before. Even though all he really did was sit around and drink there was the fact that he had dealt with feelings which was pretty much an hard subject for him.
After what felt like mere seconds Dean rolled over onto his side to try and make himself for comfortable on the bed. He was in that odd cusp of being awake and still feeling like he was asleep. Despite that he had taken notice that it felt like there was something holding onto his hand. He tried to squeeze whatever was in his hand, but his fingers only twitched.
Since his body seemed to not want to respond to his demands he decided to drop it and just go back to sleep. He felt himself drift back to into sleep and wake up what once again felt like only moments later. This time around he felt much more awake than before. He made a slight grunt noise as she shifted back onto his back on the bed and tried to bury his head under one of the pillows to keep out whatever light was threatening his precious sleep.
But he knew it was futile as he was already starting to wake up so he just laid there to enjoy the last few moments as his sleepiness drifted away.

The night was relatively peaceful for Gwen. Full of dreams of contentment. It had been a while since she had slept this well. It was ironic that it had taken a drunken Dean and a night by his side and holding his hand to give her fitful sleep.
Occassionally, Gwen would make small little noises of complaint considering she wasn't in the most comfortable position but she wasn't even fully aware of her body. The only thing that continually reminded her of herself was that she was still holding Dean's hand. It was warm. Strong. Manly. If she had been awake...she probably would take back her hand with a furious blush and try to sneak out of the room before Dean himself awoke. But for now it was time for silence and happiness.
Gwen drifted into a liminal state between sleep and wakefulness as sun started peeking through the windows. She felt Dean move, his hand pulling away slightly and her brow furrowed. Gwen made a noise of discontent, almost a grumble like sound. Dean's hand was warm and she wanted it to stay in place so she could still hold it.

A faint noise had broken his dream like state and he found himself laying on his motel bed fully awake and aware. Even though he still had his eyes close he could hear nearly every little noise that was coming from inside the room. Th soft scratches of him moving against the bed spread. The chill of the A/C unit in the room stinging whatever bare skin that was uncovered, and the slight warmth on his hand as well. Which he instinctively flexed his fingers around and was surprised to find that there was something in his hand.
Reaching a hand up he pulled the pillow that he was buried under off his face and looked at his hand. Dean was expecting maybe the TV remote as it would not be the first time that he fell asleep with it in his hand, but he was off with his guess. What was really in his hand was someone else's hand, he followed the hand and then the arm until he saw that both the hand and the arm belong to Gwen. Which surprised him as he did not remember her at the bar last night.
Then again there was not much of last night that Dean really remembered. The last thing he did recall was that he was sitting at the bar counter with Shiloh ordering drinks to try and drink away the bad feeling that kept curling around in the pit of his stomach. After that everything went sort of black.

Gwen felt calm and knew that Dean's hand was still holding hers. She had been unhappy when he had started to pull away but now he wasn't moving and even squeezed her hand. She was still half-asleep, unable to drag herself away from the warm comfort of it.
"Dean..." Gwen mumbled softly, brow furrowed. She couldn't escape the uncomfortable worry for him. Her hazy mind kept picturing Dean drunk and miserable and it hurt. It was surprising she hadn't babied him even more when they got back to his motel room. She tried to calm her mind down, unable to really wake herself up. Gwen sighed, making an unhappy noise when the light started to bother her and she found herself waking up despite her greatest efforts to stay asleep.
"Ow..." Gwen mumbled softly, blinking as she woke up and lifted her head. She crinkled her nose and found herself slowly realizing the situation. She was holding Dean's hand. While she was asleep it didn't seem like that big of a deal but now they were both awake-shit. "Oh, sorry, sorry!" Gwen pulled her hand away, scooting back in her chair away from the bed. She felt her cheeks grow warm, a blush dusting her cheeks as she tried to avoid Dean's gaze. He probably didn't even remember what had happened. This was...awkward...
