ELIZABETH
..Lord, what fools these mortals be..
• • HOPE YOU GOT YOUR THINGS TOGETHER,
Hope you are quite prepared to die
FULL NAME: Elizabeth / Vessel: Renae Archer
NICKNAME: Eliza, "Fallen, or Broken Oath" / None
AGE: Ancient / 32
BIRTHDATE: Before the concept of time / July 13 1979
SPECIES: Angel / Human
GENDER: Female
ORIENTATION: Bisexual
OCCUPATION: Smiter of the wicked / Former Barkeep
• • LOOKS LIKE WE'RE IN FOR NASTY WEATHER,
One eye is taken for an eye
FACE CLAIM: Kate Beckinsale
SKIN: Fair
HAIR: Brown and Black
EYES: Blue
HEIGHT: 5'11''
WEIGHT: Never tell
OVERALL APPEARANCE: Elizabeth's vessel is a woman with decent height. She almost pushes the six foot mark and in heels she goes over that height line. Elizabeth would describe Renae's body as "healthy" for a human, medically speaking. Renae's form resides at a weight that is healthy for her height.
Elizabeth has let Renae's hair grow much longer sense taking over the vessel, leaving it to go past her scapula. Her hair is a mixture of various browns with a base line of black webbed into the mixture. Her hair is curly, and often frizzes in the more humid types of weather. So far the angel has not mastered the art of womanly hair products to take care of this, so she has been using water to try and keep the frizz at bay.
Being inside a woman of Renae's age can be quite useful. Elizabeth still hasn't gotten flirtation down, but the vessel is attractive, by this angels standards. The vessel has a good set of curves on her, but then again Elizabeth doesn't follow the cannon of beauty that humans have set up.
As for clothing her attire varies from what she likes to call "Funeral Formal" to a more casual attire. More often than not she wears some form of jeans, knee high boots, and various forms of shirt. The angel is experimenting with looks currently to see what fits her personality more, or her mood.
• • DON'T GO AROUND TONIGHT,
Well, it's bound to take your life
LIKES:
- Smiting The Wicked; Old practices die hard.
- Smoking and Drinking; A couple of habits she picked up from the vessel. She has grown quite fond of it. Vodka, rum, and Marlboro Reds are wonderful creations.
- Freedom; Not having to take orders from various snobby nosed angels is a blessing. She takes her orders from the source, or herself.
- Interrogation; Her old job and one of her favorite, past times. She gets really into it, an unfortunate thing for the creature or person that is being interrogated.
- Fire; She's a bit of a pyromaniac.
- Stress Relief; Life is so much easier with a little bit extra destruction.
- Chaos; It exposes people and shows others who they really are.
- Animals; Pure, instinctual, uncomplicated.
DISLIKES:
- God; He has abandoned the angels. He loves the human's more even though the angels have been devoted children to Him for millions of years.
- Hypocritical Humans; Those that say they love her father, but spit in his face with their actions. They deserve much more than Hell.
- Demons; She likes them about the same as humans. She sees them as scum. Some have their worth.
- Resistance; Sense having fallen she hates being told what to do, or if people do not let her have her way.
- Non-Believers; Those that have not accepted that God has abandoned them or is dead, tick her off.
- The Boys and Other Hunters; They irritate her. And they're doing her job.
- Other Angels; Mostly her old bosses. She has some sympathy for those that still have "faith", or haven't been "enlightened" yet.
- New Age Crap; She misses the sort of "old testament" world.
STRENGTHS:
- Old Job Skills; Her old torturing ways have their benefits.
- Perseverance and Dedication; She doesn't give up easily.
- Fire; It's quite useful for many reasons.
- Use of Emotion; Understanding where your anger comes from can help you focus it.
- Publicly Polite; She may hate you on the inside, but she'll save her venom for the perfect strike.
WEAKNESSES:
- Need for Acceptance; Mostly from other angels. She doesn't have too many friends.
- Switching Teams; Certainly left her with more foes than pals. She's on her own team.
- Booze 'N Smokes; They are delicious.
- Abandoned and Abused Animals; She wants to adopt, protect, and get revenge on the humans that caused so much pain. Human vs Human she is fine with as they are scum and can kill themselves any time in her book, but the animals? They are the ones that deserve to be saved.
- Stubborn; It took her over two thousand years (At least) to change her mind on the subject of God. What chance does anybody else have, or the time, for her to change her ideals again?
FEARS:
- Abandonment;
- Becoming Mortal; She like's what she has.
- Being Tortured In Heaven; That was her old job, and she feels that "it is better to dish out, than receive."
- Destruction of Mortals in their Entirety; Humans are like wild game, or a young girls dolls. She sees them as playthings and would hate to see them go away forever.
- Lucifer/The Great War; Once he's out of the way Heaven's attention will be on the rogues...Or if he wins...She doubt's he will be happy to have her alive.
POWERS & ABILITIES: Her kind can smite a demon with the proper touch. She can inhabit human bodies, provided they have the genetics needed, and she has an impressive ability over fire and the occasional lightning strike. While she can time travel, she often does not. She also has that annoying habit of popping up and disappearing in various places. She can put people to sleep if need be. Again, her most outstanding ability is her fire talent and knowledge of how to inflict emotional and physical pain. The rest of her abilities are in the steady norm for an angel.
OVERALL PERSONALITY: Elizabeth used to have faith. She has gone through a recent change in the feeling of her purpose and who she really is. She sees herself in two ways, Old and New. While she misses the "Old Days" and "Old Ways," she has embraced the "New" with great vigor.
She has lost faith in her siblings and mostly God. She wonders how they can still have so much faith that He still exists, when all signs in Heaven and Earth point otherwise. The "Old" Elizabeth did not question orders, but as millennia went on she did start to question and wonder about "the big picture." She lost faith and patience and decided to remove herself from heaven.
The new, embraced the ideals that Lucifer had preached about for so long. The fallen angel now despises what she had once protected. Why should humans obtain all of God's love? Haven't the angels been good enough to and for Him? Had they not fought and died for him. Death of an angel is certainly a bigger event in her eyes than one of a lowly mortal. So, she got tired of serving Heaven and went to practice her own ideas, like Lucifer, but on a lesser scale.
What really irks her the most about humans are the fact that they lie, and "spit in His face." She is utterly disgusted by those "Born Again Christians" who are still monsters. The father that "has found God" but still beats his children and wife. Those sort of people make her want to vomit. She feels that they deserve to be punished in the worst ways, and why shouldn't she be the one to dish out her own form of God's Wrath?
She seeks acceptance from the like minded, even if they are Demons. She doesn't care for her brother's creation, but they do have their uses and if they become too much of a problem she has a nasty habit of burning their little smoky black souls from here to next Tuesday.
She certainly has her own smiting agenda in mind. She's itching to play it out. The universe was created in chaos. Order is just a myth and she intends to bring back chaos, Old School Wrath, and maybe adopt a cat in the future.
• • THERE'S A BAD MOON ON THE RISE,
Don't go around tonight
HISTORY: To get a full grasp of Elizabeth's history is to go back a very, very long way.
She was created by His hands, beautiful, glorious, and deadly. While she never actually saw His face, she followed his orders and the orders of the chain of command. She was another member of God's great kingdom and she was in love with everything around her. At that point in her life it was a large and happy family, all working together to create, protect, and maintain order.
That was until God decided to go on a Creation spree. She didn't know what God was doing at first when He made the humans, Earth, the rest of the known universe, but she went along with it with a smile and metaphorical happy heart. She watched as God kept spending more and more time guiding the humans. At first she felt pity that they needed him so much, as she and the other angels were sort of self sufficient solders.
That's when Lucifer branched off and started making a huge ruckus. Elizabeth didn't understand why he hated the humans so much. Did they not deserve their Father's love too? Were they not also His creations? Sure he had been brooding over the latest model at the time, but he still loved his Angels. Each and every one, and she still felt His presence and His love. So she took a seat with the rest of the many Angels as Lucifer tempted the humans into the discovery of sin.
Boy was God pissed. And his anger rippled through the ranks of the Angels. It was a sad day in heaven when Lucifer was kicked out of the nest. She was saddened by her brother's departure. But it was for the best, wasn't it?
Life went on as always and she watched and followed orders. That went on for centuries and from time to time she would look down at her Father's creations and wondered what the heck they were doing. She listened as she heard the creation of Hell, and eventually demons. That's when the dispute between Lucifer and the rest of the Holy Host really exploded.
She fought alongside her siblings in heaven, trying to destroy the demons and protect the mortals. They were created too quickly though. There were thousands upon thousands of these creatures. What saddened her the most was that they were corrupted examples of His creation. That was around the time of the Dark ages, as far as she can remember. It was not a good time for humanity, or Heaven for that matter, but Elizabeth came into her own.
She was put in a devision that specialized in torture. Her job was to get any information about the demon's plans out before destroying them for good. She let out her frustrations about the war out on her victims. Each one of them died a more grotesque and awful way than the last. Some of the things she did...well, they would make some of the strongest and most vicious demons shake in their boots. It was that time that "Hell hath no wrath like a woman's scorn," came about. Yeah, that was her. Your'e welcome female mortals.
It wasn't until humans started to hit the 'mondern' age that she began to question things. She was no longer a semi-mindless soldier. She wondered about the orders. Were they from Him? Was it the right thing to do? Was saving the humans really worth it? Should they be more focused on shutting down hell and convincing Lucifer of his wrong ways? Then again...was Lucifer really wrong?
Elizabeth thought over that question for a few hundred years. Y2K happened and she had enough of the mortals. They were mindless, careless, and they revoked His love that she and the others had been dreaming of for so many years. Why had God decided to give the humans so much attention? Were they not enough for Him anymore? Humans were certainly not the 'new toy' anymore! What about the old favorites? Why were they so special?
Humans did such horrible things and they were more deserving? She had been following orders for ages to protect these vicious drones and she was sick of it. She was tired, frustrated, angry, and losing Faith in Him and his actual existence by the minute. She had been around for however many eons and less than a handful of angels had seen His face. She felt that orders were coming more from her siblings than from Him.
She was done.
So she left Heaven and came to Earth. For a while she hovered over the planet, looking at all the deeds of humans, and she spotted a lot more bad than good. She wanted to find Lucifer, wanted to talk to him, and see if the rumors in Heaven about him were really true. Eventually she found a vessel that not only fit the genetic requirement but also a personal one.
Renae Archer was a human that had also lost Faith in God, and His existence sense the murder of her children. They were to be a perfect match. With some clever words and promise of a better world on Earth, with Elizabeth's help, she was accepted into the vessel.
Obtaining a 'proper' vessel has been the most recent development in Elizabeth's long, long life. So, now she's off to find her brother, and have a little fun on the side. Don't ask what an angry angel does for '"fun." You really do not want to know.
• • WELL, IT'S BOUND TO TAKE YOUR LIFE,
there's a bad moon on the rise
ALIAS: Elizabeth
OTHER ACCOUNTS: None
EXPERIENCE: Almost a decade
WHERE DID YOU FIND US: The Link was sent to me
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE: Her ears rang worse than ever before, the house shook like an earthquake and Renae was terrified to the bone. What was going on? Was there really a natural disaster happening or was she going crazy? She cried out in pain and fear and fell to her knees in the kitchen. A blinding pale blue light was seeping through the door to the living room and as she looked at the glowing edges of the door frame she clasped her hands over her aching ears.
She shut her eyes as her kitchen table rattled above her head, threatening to fall over from the crazy shaking of her house. She could have sworn that she heard a voice, well, maybe not a voice, but it was a feeling in the pit of her stomach. It had to of been the new medication she was on. After her two children had been murdered two months ago she had been on edge, all the time. She was going through a divorce from her husband because of her extreme grief. Renae tried to convince herself that what she was experiencing was a crazy and horribly scary hallucination.
Still the feeling in her stomach didn't go away. And as her house shook she could have sworn she was hearing somebody try to talk to her. The woman started to pray quietly as she cowered under the table. She hadn't prayed sense Billy and Madison passed away. As she prayed the shaking seemed to subside and the voice became clear.
"You need my help? With what?" she called out, looking around to see where the voice came from.
It had to of been behind the door. As the light dimmed slightly the woman shifted a bit as she listened.
"You're just my medication. There are no such things as angles, or God!" she yelled angrily.
The house shook harder than before and the light burned her eyes as the voice grew harsh, louder, and angry before it ebbed off a bit.
"There are angels? And you need my help, my body to do your work? And you're saying you can find my children's murderer?" she said softly.
The feeling in her gut turned soothing and warm as the conversation with her 'hallucination' went on. Renae crawled out from under the table after a few moments of thought.
"If what you say is true. I'll do it.." she clenched her hand on one of the kitchen chair.
The same pale blue light from behind the door vanished as quickly as it had come and a beam struck Renae, right in the middle of her home. The woman gave out a scream of surprise, but her voice was silenced by the sounds of her house rattling.
Her body fell to the floor but as she got up, she wasn't Renae Archer anymore, nor would she ever be again.
"Thank you Mrs. Archer..." the angel said as she got used to using the human mouth. "Your faith will be justly rewarded."
