Warwick, Rhode Island It was a clear sunny day in Warwick, Rhode Island. The kids were in school, the parents were at work or at home and some tourists spent the days going sight seeing, not that there's that much to see in a small state. Also, it was the place of attacks that was in the small town. Guillaume came into the town to look for a demon that would possess children as age of 15 to take control kind of like the children of the corn but with black filled eyes. He stopped at a hotel and parked his car. First, he'll get himself a room. Then, he'll set his stuff up inside the room. Third he'll head out and investigate. And if he can't find the demon then he'll just wait until night, since that was definately where the demon attacks. This demon would wait until the children are asleep and then possess them. Unfortunately Guillaume didn't bring some salt, so he is thinking to go to the store to get some.
Around 5:00 pm, Guillaume emerged from the hotel room. He spent almost all morning trying to find anything about the demon online but nothing helped. Plus he had set up the laptop and things like that in the dining room area and locked the door. In case if there's a housekeeper, he had the weapons on him or in the closet. In either way he knew it'd be safe but just in case he'll stop by a bit later. Right now he's grabbing himself something to eat and a beer. So he went to the nearest food joint and inside he found workers getting their food and beer. They just came back from work so its a bit full. He made his way to the near front and placed his order for something to eat and a beer and then sat down with the food, he began to eat. He usually eats before starting the hunt so that he wouldn't walk around with an empty tummy. Though one question remains, is he the only hunter here or is there more?

[bg=1b1d1b][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=valign,bottom] | [atrb=valign,bottom][bg=1b1d1b] Sometimes you can tell another hunter right off, sometimes you can't. For Wil, it always started with the way they watched a room. Checking the corners, checking the doors, with that flat affectless paranoia that cops and PTSD soldiers have too. But hunters would also check door lintels, windowframes, would note the location of all the holy symbols in a room. That would be what caught Wil's attention, made him look more keenly.
And once you looked, it was almost always there in the details. Check the tattoos. Check the bracelets and necklaces they wore. Look for weapons, sure, but more look for the scars of what happens when you don't have the weapons on you. Some hunters don't have the flat eyes, some don't have the competent, badass walk. Some don't even look like they get no sleep at night. But the protections would usually give them away, at least in Wil's experience.
He didn't notice the kid who walked into the diner right away, he was quizzing Tish on determining percent values, asking her sample questions and letting her scratch out her math on napkins as she found the answers. This was a fairly standard thing for them, Tish ran through homeschool books more or less at her own pace, but Wil was always monitoring, making sure that she'd really learned it all and understood it, supplementing with books and suggestions.
"An auto mechanic earns $14.75 per hour for a 40-hour week. She pays 16% of her earnings in taxes and 7.7% for Social Security. What is her take home pay for the week?" He created the question off the top of his head and had to do the math for himself while she worked it out. Kept him sharp.
After a moment of furious scribbling, Tish looked up. "Four hundred fifty dollars and eighteen cents."
"Seventeen, you always round down for calculating pay, even if it's .99 cents, paychecks will always round down."
She stuck out her bottom lip, making her look even more stubborn (as though that were possible) while she thought about that. "That's not fair."
Wil grinned at her. "That why I chase monsters for a living instead of getting a real job."

While the others converse (including one kid with tattoos), Guillaume continued eating his food but at the same time he thought about the demon that he was chasing. He reached down for something but he cursed to himself. He forgot to bring his darn laptop with him. Oh that's okay. He has his cellphone that has internet on it with him so its all good. With that said, he took out his cellphone and looked up about the demon who was said to prey on the children. First he looked up "children snatchers" on google. Nothing but pedophiles popped up and a roll of his eye and a grunt came from his throat. But then he thought for a second. What if one of these demons POSSESS a pedophile? Would they use it as a way to get through to a child? So instantly he typed in possession pedophiles. Maybe there would be info about how a pedophile would have behaved while being possessed. Nothing came up. He rolled his eyes again and then dialed up a number to one of the hunters he had met back in Wiscousin where he last was. He forgot to get Ellen's number though. He'd call up Dean but he would know Dean's got his hands full and as for Castiel he doesn't want to bother him. So he decided to see about with his friend. "Hey Jerry, hi. Okay. Demon possession...is there a way that these demons could possess pedophiles? Maybe that would be a way they would be snatched? Uh huh...oh...huh...okay thanks." He closed the cellphone, stuffed it in his pocket, and then head towards the door where he bumped into the young man Wil by mistake. "Oh shit, I'm so sorry," he said to the man after realizing what happened. "I should watch where I am going."

[bg=1b1d1b][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=valign,bottom] | [atrb=valign,bottom][bg=1b1d1b] Wil's attention had perked when he heard the words 'demon possession' go by, and though he continued to chat easily with his kid he also was paying attention all of a sudden to the guy with the oh-so-pretty hair who was finishing up his meal a couple of tables away. And so maybe it wasn't entirely coincidence that Guillaume bumped into Wil's chair. Maybe Wil timed it just so and slid his chair back a couple of inches very casually so that the other guy would bump him and create an opportunity.
Not that he let that show on his face as he raised his head and grinned at the dude. "S'okay. Probably my fault." No probably about it. "You look a little distracted, everything okay?" It wasn't the strongest opening line, but Wil was still giving this guy the once-over, and at least a part of his assessment was seeing whether the other man figured out that both Wil and Tish were packing, whether he spotted the anti-possession charm worked into the leather cuff bracelet that Tish wore and the ring on Wil's right hand that had the Hebrew and Latin names for God etched deeply into it and the negative space filled with iron.
If the kid missed it all Wil would just let it go, people talked about all kinds of weird shit to their friends on the phone. He'd never forget the time that he got all worked up about what he thought was chatter about a nest of demons working with vampires turned out to be college kids talking about their roleplaying game. But Wil hadn't lived as long as he had by letting go of his paranoia, so it was worth trying to work out what this kid's story was.

"Oh good, then, right? Though I doubt it was your fault I should've looked where I was going." Giving him a shrug of his shoulders, Guillaume leaned against the wall nearby. "You can say that." He eyed the unique things about the two-the bracelets, the packing, and everything in between. As short as he was spending time as a hunter, he had picked up some things you notice that they are a hunter, and this was it. "You're a hunter too, I suppose? If so, then maybe you can help me figure something else. See I just got off the phone with one I know of, and well as you can tell it was about demon possession. Do you know anything about if they pass off as sex offenders just to get a hold of children? That's what I'm hunting right now. If not then don't mind me." He didn't wish to press it onto the man or the girl that he's with, about it either. It was something Guillaume was thinking about though, and if someone was to help him, then that's good. He can't wait to take all of them down one by one and get the kids back home. Geez. He felt like he's a member of the America's Most Wanted TV crew. That isn't a bad thing, because he does, but with hunter gear and the fact that the ones he's after is not human criminals but supernatural beings. He hasn't faced any werewolves yet though and even if he does, he'd take them down too same with vampires.

[bg=1b1d1b][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=valign,bottom] | [atrb=valign,bottom][bg=1b1d1b] Wil took all that in and then nodded. "Tish, back to the room. Salt it behind you and set up the rug."
The girl made a sour face but didn't argue, just stood up and kissed his cheek, accepted the cash he pressed into her hand, and left without trying to introduce herself to Guillaume or join the conversation any further. Once she was gone Wil turned his attention back to the young hunter.
"It aint implausible," like Guillaume he just leapt right into the conversation without fussing around with establishing who believed what or who had the better credentials. "Though in my experience? They're a lot more likely to jump into church deacons, nice maiden lady kindergarten teachers, well-intentioned ice cream men an' then turn them into pedophiles if that's their kink. Somethin' about corrupting the innocent and the trustworthy, demons get off on it."
He took a swallow of his coffee and thought. "If you're lookin' for missing kids, I'd look for totally trustworthy, reliable people who're also missing or acting erratic. S'where I'd start, anyway."

First, the girl that was with him, named Tish, left as soon as the man gave her some cash. They must be father and daughter. And then after that, the man spoke to him. Suddenly it all ties in. He had heard that one of the men wasn't a pedophile before it all took place but that the man had started to go into that kind of kink just after their marriage crumbled. It was sad to see men like that turn into that kind of sick twisted things. But it didn't still make sense. Maybe it was one of the targets, since the other ones the man mentioned was usually the case for the demons to do. Man this is one messed up case. "That's right, I have heard that from the man I spoke to, he said something about it. It is just weird to think that it could happen like that you know? I mean seriously pedophiles? Why not the President or something? Anyway thanks. Coicidently," of course he had spoke really low through all of this because he would have a hard time explaining about how he would talk about demons and stuff in front of those that aren't hunters, "a demon possessed my friend-who wasn't a pedophile-and that had gotten me into this hunting thing. So I'm still kind of what you can call a rookie if you get my drift. Oh my apologies of not introducing myself." Guillaume stuck out his hand for the other man to shake while flashing a friendly smile. "My name is Guillaume Burnier. Its a pleasure to meet you, Mr..." he cut it off since he wasn't sure who this man was. Maybe it could be a good way for the man to pick up where he had left off at and tell him who he is. Of course he doesn't LOOK like a hunter but looks can be decieving.

[bg=1b1d1b][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=valign,bottom] | [atrb=valign,bottom][bg=1b1d1b] There was again a short gap while Wil caught up with the information Guillaume had just laid out there. The Frenchman's conversational style was taking some getting used to, he seemed to present data in great long spates that it took Wil a second or two to parse and then organize in his mind. It was odd but not offputting, just taking him a few to accustom himself.
"Wil." He shook the much younger man's hand, not as hesitant about touch as some of his ilk. "Wil Croft." It was a throwaway identity, but he might get as much as ten more years out of it as long as he continued using it only in his personal life. "Good to meet you."
"And who can tell why demons fixate on the things they do? Maybe this one don't want to rule the free world, he just wants to do nasty things to little kids. Speaking of, though, if you're really hunting a pedophile demon, I want in. Even they oughta have limits, and if all we can do is send 'em back where they came from it's better'n letting them keep going."

"Nice to meet you too, Monsuier Croft," he replied back as they had shook hands with each other and then he pulled his hand away. "I think that exactly too, it was one that I thought of not too long ago as a matter of fact as more as I delve into it, the more it came out true." He wasn't lying of course. Most of these things was mostly in the city where he and Wil is at so that is a good thing. Being a small town, it is the demon's playpen for them to come out and play. Oh he can't WAIT to shoot them. "Oh I most definately am," Guillaume replied with all the anger for these things in his voice. He can't wait to start. Even with company. "I have the stuff I need to get these sons of a bitches in the trunk of my car, ready to take them down. You're most definately in. I agree wholeheartly." He looked at the direction of where the young girl had gone to, wondering if it was indeed Wil's daughter and if it is then good for him. Its nice to see a father caring for a daughter like that. Kind of like how his parents are with his siblings. "I take it she's your daughter? If she is, then you must be one proud father to raise such a nice looking girl. I don't have kids myself but maybe one day. I apologize if I butt in."

[bg=1b1d1b][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=valign,bottom] | [atrb=valign,bottom][bg=1b1d1b] There was a very slight creep factor in Guillaume complimenting Tish's appearance right after they'd been talking about demons possessing people and turning them into pedophiles, but Wil decided to chalk it up to that odd conversational style. Well, that and to find some excuse to splash the other hunter with holy water sometime soonish. Just in case.
But he kept his face and voice calm and casual as he said, "Adopted." Which she almost had to be if he weren't trying to pass them off as brother and sister, Wil barely looked old enough to drink and Tish was chasing toward her teens. "She's a good kid. I think sometimes I oughta take her out of this life, settle down in the burbs or something and let her have a normal life. Then I say somethin' about it, she screams obscenities in two languages and offers to shoot me, and I realize that puttin' her in a suburban middle school probably wouldn't be a good idea."

That is when Guillaume chuckled. It suddenly reminded him of HIS siblings especially his sister who doesn't seem to wanna do anything her parents (or Guill) would tell her. And then there's Percy, who just don't wanna listen even though he's just 11. "That's like my younger two siblings. Percy is 11, and Pauline is a teenager and you know how teens get. Thank goodness my other sister and I wasn't like that. At all. I think its a good thing you did of adopting her, actually. Just want to apologize if it came out creepy when I had asked you the question earlier. If it did I apologize." He didn't really meant to ask like that. "God I had sounded like one of those pedophiles, huh? Ugh. I think I watched too much crime shows last week." He rolled his eyes too. Oh well. Back to now about the case because there was something else he forgot to talk about, about a missing girl who he believes is in the work of these demons. Its good that Wil is coming along. He can't wait to kick this demon's butt with his hopefully new friend.
"Anyway about this case. There is a report about a 11 year old girl missing name Amber Somewood, who was last seen with a man about fifty with gray hair and blue eyes. This is definately our guy in the works here because at one point, a witness who saw him take Amber, saw black in his eyes. She got so scared she went right into the house and by the time she came out, Amber was gone. The demon also was lingering around a playground where Amber was hanging out with her younger sister Sophie who was taken as well but recovered three hours later since the demon had his eyes set on Amber. Sophie was just 6 so I think he didn't want to take her away. What do you think?"

[bg=1b1d1b][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=valign,bottom] | [atrb=valign,bottom][bg=1b1d1b] Wil just shrugged off Guillaume's apology, his smile going crooked and a bit wry as he said, "Hunters aint notorious for being socially adept, it's cool. And me and Tish found each other a long time ago," such a nice way of putting it, but it didn't do to run around saying things like 'I stole her out of a shack in a foreign countries, stepping over the corpses of her entire family to do so.' It just complicated matters. "Anyway, yeah, she's grown up on the road, she's got no good opinion of the 'burbs. Possibly 'cause she's only ever seen 'em in the context of CW teen dramas and watchin' me go into them to deal with demons, hauntings, and other messes. May have given her a warped view of what suburban life is like." A beat. "Or not."
When Guillaume moved on to the case at hand, Wil's eyes sharpened and he listened to what was going on. "Yeah, okay. Any chance the younger girl would know where they're heading? Or are we trackin' this by trying to find the spot where all the evil is?" It could be done, but it was never easy and usually slow. He had a compass back at the room where the needle was made of a sliver of the thighbone of St. Jerome (Christ, that had been a weird week, he was going to need at least another thirty years before he dared to go back to Rome. Just in case.) and which would point the way, sort of, toward the darkest mind in the area. Problem was how often that turned out not to be a demon but a perfectly normal human. Men's minds are abattoirs, it's a sad true thing.

"Got it, cool. I just didn't wanna sound like one of those sick twisted idiots who thinks its okay to talk dirty about a little girl they don't even have the right to eyeball at. I got some guys doing that with my sisters and it pisses me off." Tis is true, though they would not dare to mess with his sisters (or brother for that matter) now since Guillaume is a hunter. He won't have no problem going over back to Salem and punch some people in the face. If he had done so before even before becoming a hunter, then he'll do it again. He hated especially when some people whistle at his older sister. She's a woman, not some sex object but guys didn't care.
"There's one big chance that she might. It is said that the demon, whoever he is, always takes his victims to a house not too far off from here. We have to go east and straight onto we see the two story house. If we're lucky they'll be there. Sometimes he moves on to another house so we'd have to check out three other houses on that same street. My best bet is to track where all the evil is. The question is, though, where? This is a small town so it might be filled with all these bastards. What is your take on this?"
Man this is going to be one big tough case. But he knows they can do this. Its not like the werewolf case where he was SO close to track one down and then in a split second, he lost the beast. It didn't take him until like four days later that he FINALLY found the thing in New Hampshire and killed him. He hopes that this hunter would help him track this guy down so that even if it was a normal human he still gets arrested, or if it was indeed the demon he'll kill him himself. In either way, he wants to rescue this little girl and bring her back to her family. That is what its mostly all about, and why he's also a hunter. To save lives.

[bg=1b1d1b][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=valign,bottom] | [atrb=valign,bottom][bg=1b1d1b] Wil grimaced, shook his head. "Funny thing, you know? When I was younger," you know, a hundred and fifty, "I'd stare at chicks and think 'if they didn't like it, they wouldn't dress like that.' Now I go out with Tish and a guy watches half a second too long--even a guy close to her own age--and they're lucky they don't get a hunting knife through the femoral. Perspective, man."
He shook off the subject to concentrate on what was important right now. "My take is that we go back to my place and pick up some specialized equipment and then go find this two-story house an' get the girl back, then banish us a demon." He'd learned over the years to lay out priorities in careful order. Other hunters, even he himself sometimes, sometimes got so focused on the killing that they forgot the saving of civilians. It didn't seem like Guillaume was that type, but all sorts of things happened in the heat of battle.
Wil tossed back the last of his coffee and pulled two twenties out of his wallet, tossing them down on the table. "Let's go get my toys and we can find this bastard. Hopefully before he's got time to break the girl." That last being Wil's real priority; he'd let the demon slip away before he'd let the kid get ruined.

"Yeah but I think if my son was still here and not living with his mother, I'd be protective of him even if he's a guy. Though I probably would give him lessons of not getting a girl pregnant because if he did I would really seriously kick his ass. He would know better than of repeating history like his old pop had done before him." He gave a sigh just thinking about little Guillaume Jr. He wished that the mother had not taken him away. Would he have been on the road with his dad? Maybe, but then again, being with his mother is safe for him since this isn't a regular road trip. He could get seriously hurt. "But then again what I think, Guillaume Jr. is safe where he is." He still wished it didn't happen (of the mother taking the kid away) but then again things happen for a reason. "He'd be eight by now." Guillaume nodded, since Wil had talked about something that is important and he didn't wanna dwelve into the past-his past-and take it on the man. Like Wil wanna hear about Guillaume's tales of mistakes and regrets. "Okay, that sounds better, I wouldn't mind," he told him since that was a good plan. "Yeah, that sounds good!" Oh man he can't wait to get the guy himself. That'll show him of even dare to take innocent kids. He took out some money from his wallet and set them on the table then headed out the door and stood nearby it to wait for Wil. "So," he called out to Wil, "you'll lead the way? If you want you can drive my car if like. I don't mind at all." OOC: Yay there it is
