Currently a college freshman at University of Wisconsin, though given his family history it seems more than possible that he won't stay long enough to get a degree, Adam is an innocent on the cusp of bitter experience. He knows nothing of the world in which the paternal side of his family lives and operates and has never had to make decisions on that live-or-die level. He's a good kid; smart and loyal and well-intentioned but he's still very much a kid. He's never lost enough to be an adult.

i'm going there to see my father, i'm going there no more to roam

Adam desperately needs FRIENDS as he adjusts to the truths he's about to be smacked with. Hunters, people in the life, but also people who are no part of hunting and wars, or who at least can find a relationship with him that's not all about that. He needs guy friends to hang with, girl friends to flirt with and crush on, some kind of life that's outside the dire and desperate.

He's just so young. He's looking for LOVERS in the way that a kid does--one day he's all about the casual sex and sowing his wild oats, the next he's willing to admit that he's more of a relationship kind of guy than not. Adam falls in love easily, falls out of it a little less so, but overall he's not mature enough to form a permanent attachment in any healthy way.

The only ENEMIES in Adam's life are the ones inherited from his father. He simply hasn't led a life that supports real hate. Not until now, anyway.
