Alejandro has a strong chest, arms and legs from working out regularly. He likes to be physically fit because of how it makes him look and because it helps him just in case he ever needed to defend himself though he doesn’t know how to fight. He wears loose fitting clothes on a daily basis when doing his job and traveling because it is more comfortable and he likes to remain unnoticed because he is in hiding from his past lover.
His eyes are wide, expressive and almost have a childish glint to them despite all his years of life and how much knowledge he has accumulated over the years.

OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Alejandro is relatively soft-spoken. He is a gentle sort who likes peace and quiet and prefers that everything stay the way it is. He is not fond of change but if he could find his pelt and go back to the sea he would do so in a second. Although he doesn’t like violence, he has a volatile temper if provoked and will yell and scream in favor or hitting or kicking. If he gets really upset he will just ignore whoever he is taking to or start crying.
He feels everything with his whole heart- when he’s happy he’s ecstatic, When he’s in love, he’s over the moon for that person, when he’s sad he’s depressed and when he’s angry he is pissed off. There’s a full blast of that emotion or combination of emotions.
He has overly romantic ideas about love and is almost disappointed that all of his relations have ended fairly badly. Life is a sort of fairytale for him and though he is still upset about being forced to be on land he enjoys the little things in life and likes to be spoiled and given lots of affection.

HISTORY:
Alejandro was born in the wild seas, constantly traveling with his pack. He was relatively sheltered as a child and told to never go to the land because he would get caught by a mortal and forced to remain on land and be separated from his kin. For centuries he kept to himself and was very cautious of humans, boats and the land which he stayed clear from. He always was a rule follower so he kept to his people’s ways and ignored his friends who went to the surface.
One day he lost an amulet his mother had gotten him and went up to the surface in grief to try to work out his feelings. He stumbled onto the land and met a man who took his pelt from him. Initially Alejandro was very angry, following this man for many years and trying to find the hidden pelt. He was forced to get a mortal name- Alejandro Sanchez and over time got used to using that name instead of his birth name which isn’t pronounceable in the human tongue. He was upset, rightfully so at not being able to go back to the sea and be with his people, and fought tooth and nail against the man. He was never the violent sort so mostly it consisted of angry yells and verbal spars. Over time Alejandro found himself falling in love with this mortal and even though he tried to hide it they both ended upgetting closer and eventually had a one night stand.
Overwhelming shame engulfed him after that and he left in the middle of the night, trying to return to the sea even without his help. He was sadly met by his brothers and sisters who told him he could not return without his pelt. Knowing there was no way to avoid his fate but also not wanting to deal with the feelings he was confused by Alejandro left on his own. He found ways to cheat the system and earned a college degree after faking a high school one and became a reporter.
Ever since then Alejandro has been moving from place to place, trying to get good stories and sell them to any paper that’ll take them.

The sound of the ocean bothered him. Alejandro felt sick to his stomach as he looked out among the waves and saw his siblings turn away from him. Cold air swept against him and the waves almost bit at the skin on his legs as he just stared out into the sea, not caring that it was night and everything would be getting much colder. His heart broke in two knowing that he wouldn't be able to ride free on the waves or dive deep into the water to swirl and dance among his family.
