HILLSDALE, MICHIGAN
Isabella drove into Hillsdale sometime after one o’clock, having stopped at some small diner a few miles outside of town for a coffee and a newspaper, hoping to get any new information on the case that she found herself working on. It started off with a phone call just asking for information, but she didn’t know how or why, Guillaume always managed to get her to come out and help him with a case. She was supposed to be retired from hunting, which meant that she didn’t do it anymore, but things never seemed to turn out that way. Isabella may not go on as many hunts as she use to, but she still went on her fair share of them. It really hadn’t taken a lot of convincing, though she wouldn’t tell Gee that. From what she had managed to gather it was a haunting, which hopefully meant that this was going to be a simple matter and dealt with quickly, but she had learned a while ago not to take chances when it came to spirits.
The purple Challenger drove down the streets of Hillside and Isabella stopped in front of the abandoned hospital that was the location for the odd disappearances. She wasn’t going in, not yet anyway, but she was hoping to find a way inside. The gate leading in had a heavy padlock on it, but as she drove around there was a section of the gate that had been cut and could be pulled back enough for the pair of them to slip into and she gave a small smile. People may be stupid, risking their lives by entering haunted places, but at least they made it easy on the people who could possibly save them later on. Digging around in her pocket, she pulled out a scrap of paper that had the motel and the room number that Gee was staying in and she pulled into a parking spot, running inside to get a room of her own just in case before going back to her car and opening her trunk.
She still had the arsenal in the back of her car and she looked around for a moment before opening the false bottom and sticking whatever weapons and items she might need for later into a duffel bag. The last thing she grabbed was a manila folder that held all of the information on the nurse they were hunting and closing her trunk, checking the doors before heading to Gee’s motel room. Isabella knocked on the door three times, almost tempted to do some kind of melody just for the hell of it, but stopped herself and stood outside with the folder in front of her face, covering her nose and mouth while her eyebrows were popped up expectantly.
