Luke could help but smile at the enthusiasm that Casey was displaying. Even if it was for Luke's sake he appreciated the gesture none the less and he reached out and entwined their fingers together enjoying the closeness. This was a big deal and he was so glad that his boyfriend was being so receptive to his ideas. The situation was one that was so serious that they were fleeing the country and Luke felt absolutely terrible about that. They never should have ended up in this position in the first place. He did smile and rub his thumb over Casey's knuckles though, trying to ignore the pit of dread that had settled in the pit of his stomach as the knowledge of all that had happened decided to make itself known in the corners of his mind.
"There is incredible food elsewhere, I feel you will really enjoy the food in Italy, as well as in France. It will be amazing anywhere we go. I also very much enjoy the coffee selection they have in various European countries, I think you will find the the brew is stronger, something that I personally enjoy"
Luke wracked his brain for any other information that he wanted to share with Casey. It was difficult to want to speak of all of these things when he was so excited to simply wanted to show him. They had to be able to enjoy themselves or they were going to go crazy and Luke knew that he could provide wonderful entertainment while they were there. He was also itching at the chance to see his family again, if they were there long enough to stay for the holidays there was a possibility that Casey would finally get the chance to meet his parents. There was so much that he wanted to do.
"Ireland is very green, it is a beautiful country and at the heart of it, there is a lot of culture to experience. It is one of my favorite spots to visit, I have a feeling it will be yours as well"

Casey wasn’t leaving anything behind which was good. Though his family was still here they didn’t have any connections anymore and they all thought he was dead so it wasn’t some earth shattering moment. A culture shock would probably occur, of course, but Casey knew how to handle that. Hunting required a little bit of flexibility when traveling so he had gotten used to getting out of town or even a state quickly. James wouldn’t follow them yet but it didn’t hurt to be under the radar.
“Isn’t tea the big thing in England?” He pondered, trying to take all of the information in but finding himself a little overwhelmed, swimming through all the details. Casey loved Luke’s excitement and enjoyed being able to make his boyfriend happy considering he grew up in Europe so despite the fact they were running for their lives he was trying to keep this as jovial as possible.
To get more comfortable Casey tried to shift more on top of Luke and feel the warmth radiating off his boyfriend’s chest but cried out a little, feeling pain in his lower chest. Ouch. Okay, not the smartest thing to do while he was still recovering.

Luke laughed and smiled at his boyfriend, bringing this hands up to lightly run his fingers through his hair as he had caught himself doing earlier. Casey's hair was still a little damp with sweat so he pushed it back off of his forehead.
"Tea is a big thing in England, as much as I love my coffee I also ove a good cup of tea. I will have you try some in England, you haven't done tea until you have done it there I can assure you of that"
Luke smiled again but his smile immediately turned into a frown when Casey cried out and winced in pain. Luke shifted as quickly as he could and helped Casey settle into a more comfortable position that was not as trying on his wounds. He had to be careful or they were going to end up stitching all of them back up and that was not something that they wanted to deal with after everything. His body was already going through enough stress that it concerned Luke.
"you have got to be careful, we don't want to open those wounds back up. I really want you to be okay as fast as you can"
Luke said honestly.

Casey made a face, “Why are you running your hands through my hair? It’s all greasy and gross,” He flushed a bit, this time from a bit of embarrassment. “I’m sure it feels disgusting.”
He considered it, “I guess. I’m a coffee lover so not having coffee might be a problem. Do they have coffee in England?” Forget food. If he didn’t have this coffee that was way worse! Coffee was like…was life a gift from god! “Tell me they have coffee before I go into shock.”
With a shrug Casey tried to ease Luke down from his panic. “I’m fine. I just…forget where it hurt for a moment.” He really was just wanting to get as close as possible to Luke, not even feeling like he could feel enough of him even now but what he had done was stupid. If the wounds opened up then he would have an even longer recovery time and they had to get the hell out of here soon. “I know. Sorry.” Casey really was sorry but his voice had gotten deeper and almost petulant like he didn’t really mean it.

Luke scoffed and continued running his fingers through Casey's hair. As if a little bit of dirt and grime were going to scare him. Luke was perfectly content to just sit there with him and he enjoyed the feeling of his fingers soothingly running through his hair just as much. It felt nice to know that he was doing something to bring the other boy at least a bit of comfortable. At Casey's exclamation about the coffee.
"Of course their is coffee, I would not last there if there was not. I have become quite attached to it. It is the same as America in the sense that in London there is a Starbucks every few blocks. We are all set on Coffee"
Luke assured him with a grin. When Casey moved on to apologize Luke sighed. Between the two of them one of them always seemed to be getting hurt and he was concerned that one day they were going to take it all too far. The human body was fragile and he dreaded the day that they finally ran out of luck. Luke tried to get his thoughts away from that though so he kissed the back of Casey's head and rested his own head back against the pillows.

Casey laughed as Luke just ignored him and continued to run his fingers through his brown hair. It felt nice at least. It was like a personal massage to his head. The brown-haired youth leaned back into Luke’s embrace further, easing gently so not to upset his body and sighed. “You’re too good to me,”
Then back to the issue about coffee. It was almost laughable but coffee was a necessity. “As long as they have Starbucks.” He eased up at that, not willing to complain too badly because it was Luke’s home and the place he was raised and didn’t want to upset him. As long as he had coffee Casey would deal with any potential bad food.
Being reckless was stupid. Casey grimaced and then tried to smile weakly at Luke. “I promise I’ll try not to do anything stupid again.” He should have down a background check on James. He liked to help people without question so even though his instincts shouted at him to look into the guy and make sure he was legit Casey wanted to just get his hands dirty and assist.

Luke felt himself relaxing and he tried to keep himself awake, after all he still had to get Casey something that resembled food more than the crap they tried to feed people at the hospital. He slipped out from under him as gently as he could and turned his body so that he was facing the other boy.
"What do you want to eat? I'll get you anything you want. I'll grab you a coffee as well since you seem to love it so much"
Luke was grinning and holding Casey's hand in his. He was also hungry now that he thought about it. There were a lot of things his body needed that he had not been focused on with the distress of Casey's condition and now his body ached because of it's needs and because of some of the bruises and cuts from his fight with James. It was nothing fatal, but it was still not comfortable and he couldn't imagine the pain that Casey was in.
"I'm sorry this all happened"
He whispered quietly stroking his thumb over the other boy's knuckles.

Casey’s body tensed the moment Luke slipped out from under him and he grabbed at his hand, almost in a panic. “Don’t go. Please. I’ll deal with the hospital food.” His whole body was cold, his insides churning uncomfortably with fear. Was it fear for himself at being alone or fear that Luke would disappear if he walked away? Casey honestly didn’t know. Maybe it was a bit of both but whatever the case he didn’t want to let go of Luke.
It was selfish. He had to fight back the urge to beg him to stay again and shook his head. “Just…just be quick, please?” His voice crackled and to anyone else it would be heartbreaking how the normally tough young man was falling apart at the seams at only a little bit of distance from his boyfriend. “A burger. Or anything. Whatever you get.” Since the whole adrenaline rush had wiped him out his normally picky tendencies had soothed out a bit. Food, no matter what it was, sounded really good right now. Casey’s tired achy body needed something to keep its strength up.
“It’s not like it’s your fault or anything. Don’t apologize,” Casey murmured back, forcing down the urge to shiver and start crying at him not to leave again. It would only be a half hour...an hour at tops. That wasn’t that big of a deal. It really wasn’t. His gut feelings screamed otherwise.

Luke felt his heart break a little bit when Casey asked him to stay, he fully intended on doing just that if it was what he wanted. He was not going to leave him here scared and alone even if it was just a short amount of time. Luke tightened his grip on Casey's hand and tried to control the rush of anger that he felt towards James. White hot anger that made him want to stalk out of the room and kill him, with only his knife in his pocket.
"I can stay here, Casey. If you'd rather me do that I can just go and see what I can manage to have them bring you up from here. I don't want you alone if you aren't comfortable enough for that yet."
Luke scooted closer and rested his back against the bed again, keeping Casey's hand in his. This was going to be difficult, but he was going to sit here with him for as long as it took to make him feel comfortable again, they could even have a nurse bring them food. Luke didn't really even have to leave the room if it would make Casey more comfortable. Luke reached out and cupped Casey's hand in his cheek before leaning forward and pressing a kiss to his boyfriends lips. It was short and sweet, and he kept it that way. Just wanting to give Casey a reminder that he was there, and he wasn't going anywhere.

Casey felt shame run down from his body to the very tips of his toes. He shouldn’t be acting like this. They had both gone through so much and to be selfish like this was wrong. His body and mind screamed against this common sense as he was still in a panic. Luke could get hurt…or he could get hurt while Luke was away. His need and urges for some freedom despite the loving companionship the two boys had been completely wiped out. Being alone felt like a burden. “No…I’m okay…” He swallowed down a whole bunch of his nerves but still the words were a total lie.
“I’m going to have to learn how to be on my own again but I’ll be all right.” More lies but Casey didn’t want to force Luke to stay and take away his independence. To be clingy was something that Casey really didn’t want to end up as despite the trauma he’d been through. “Go get the food and spend a little time by yourself if you need it.” Although he sustained most of the injuries Luke had gone through the experience with him so maybe he needed a bit of time to think about it or just be. It wasn’t a command, just a hesitant wish for his boyfriend to do what he wanted instead of trying to baby him even if Casey enjoyed it.

Luke felt heart clench painfully in his chest again as Casey tried to be brave for both of them. He truly held no expectations that Casey was not going to panicked. It was perfectly reasonable after what had happened between the pair and James. The other hunter did not have to be brave but it was one of his many characteristics that Luke had grown to love about him. Sure he was stubborn, but he was also brave on top of that and always wanted to be the strong one.
"If that is what you want I will get things as quickly as I can"
Luke stopped to think of what else they would need that he could quickly grab, he wanted to Grab Casey some new clothes so he didn't have to change back into his. They were ruined entirely and Luke knew it was only a matter of time before Casey became tired of the hospital clothes and would want his own to change into.
"You call me the second you need me back here, or if you think of anything you would like me to get for you. I am serious, I can be back in a heartbeat if you need anything"
Luke just hoped Casey would not be too head strong if he actually needed anything. He had a tendency to do that and now was just not the time. He needed Luke right now and he hoped that he would be able to ask for it if he needed anything. Even something small.

It was like having a really bad stomach ache. The pain and panic never left despite how hard he was trying to push himself to be strong for himself and his boyfriend. This...getting some space from each other was only natural in every relationship...but it almost felt like Casey was battling himself to accept it.
"Yes, this is what I want." Casey weakly smiled. No, it wasn't what he wanted but if Luke probably needed some air and to get up and do something outside considering what they both experienced. It would help Luke and Casey would do anything for his love.
Casey stubbornly decided he didn't want to infringe on Luke's almost overflowing generosity and shook his head with a smile. "I don't need anything but if I do I'll give you a ring, I promise." Another weak smile. This was hard but Casey was trying desperately to seem all right and force himself through this. "Go and...get something for yourself. You need a bit of rest anyway."

Luke stayed in the room for a bit longer, holding Casey's hand tightly and trying to soothe him just a bit. He wanted Luke to go for a bit, but Luke was not offended. It was important that they build up Casey's confidence again and lessen his fears. Luke could not help the tightening of anger in his chest though, he could kill James, he sure as hell wanted too. It was painful to see the other boy like this and he swore that he would make James pay. He was a skilled fighter and could protect them both but he did not want to spend the rest of their lives hiding from some guy on a power trip.
"Alright Casey, I'm going to go and get us food, my phone is on and in my pocket. Call if you need anything at all"
Luke leaned down and pressed a kiss to his boyfriends lips and then after a moment more of lingering made his way out of the hospital room and into the halls. He walked slowly, waiting for any sign that he would need to rush back in. The hospital was mostly empty and quiet except for the few doctors and nurses running around, doing their rounds and that comforted him, if Casey were in trouble in any way people would hear him. Casey did need a good meal and some clothes though so though he did not want to make this trip, it was something that had to be done.

Casey nodded and smiled weakly until Luke was out of sight. He kept quiet, listening to his boyfriend’s footsteps until he couldn’t hear them anymore and then even waited a half hour before he laid back down on the lumpy hospital bed. He had to do this and be strong. The urge to reach for his phone and call Luke to see if he was all right was almost consuming. Casey took a deep breath, trying not to be too paranoid and ignore all the busy movement outside his room that kept scaring him.
That psycho hunter wouldn’t come after them. Even with only a short battle and encounter Casey knew James’ style. He liked to do things in secret and keep them unexpected. He wouldn’t come after them now, even if he had come back to life again. Casey let out an exasperated sigh, aggravated that his body wouldn’t listen to his mind. Well, and vice-versa. His body was strained and ready to attack at any moment and his mind was filled with anxiety and the urge to stay awake and alert at all times. Not a very good combination for a person trying to heal up as quickly as possible.
An hour. A full hour since Luke left and Casey was barely hanging on. He wanted to kick himself for not having enough restrain and ability to hold on longer but his nerves were shot. Casey was half-tempted to either call Luke in a panic or try to stand up and walk around since pacing seemed to make him feel better when he was stressed. But his injuries would open. He growled softly in frustration.

Luke tried to hurry, his first task was to go to the clothing store. He stuck with a simple walmart that was just South of the hospital, he wanted to stay close. He knew Casey's style as well so it was not too difficult to shop for him. He also picked up a pair of spare tooth brushes and some shampoo and conditioner so Casey would not have to use whatever the hospital provided. Luke enjoyed spoiling Casey and he knew he would appreciate the thought. Luke felt a little guilty with the amount of time that it took but he wanted Casey to have what he needed.
Getting food took much quicker however, he got all the things he knew his boyfriend would enjoy and more. He also got some desert for them to share. Both of them had such a sweet tooth that it worked out well with what they liked to eat. He also got the burgers that had been requested and he picked up a few things for them to drink as well. All in all the trip was a success and he found himself back at the hospital after about an hour and a half. He could only hope that Casey had done well in that time. He had not gotten any panicked phone calls so he figured things had gone at least well enough considering the circumstances.
He made his way down the hospital halls, his footsteps echoing. The hospital was relatively empty, even less nurses then there were before, it was getting later and he knew people were probably switching shifts and taking breaks. Luke switched everything into one arm and opened the door to Casey's room and stepped in.
