This. This wasn't right at all. Not one bit. He was supposed to be on a his way from the this gate to a different one. But what about his luggage, and his ticket, they didn't give him his ticket back. Were they so supposed to give the ticket back? No, maybe so. But then, luggage was more important, so he spent plenty of time getting to baggage claim. There, he was so overcome by demonic spinning of those things there, he couldn't get close to the bags to check for his!
All of that was 15 minutes ago. Now he was sitting empty handed at a nearby cafe table. Turns out his luggage was already on a plane (which he missed) and was now traveling a few thousands miles away. If he could work a cell phone he might try and do something about that . . .
All the sounds whizzing by the man were too much. People yammering about in all different languages, some with portable phones and some just looked like they were talking to themselves! Clerks were putting money into machines and sliding cards just to pay for product. People were going up to machines without clerks, and getting money instead of giving! This was all so confusing.
And confusion always put him on edge. Sighing, the man laid his head against the table he was sitting at. Today was not a good day. The once feared Jackal of the Dead was now sitting lost, stranded without clothes and frightened by what was everyday life. Even worse, he was in a country he barely knew about. This 'America' did not exist in his day and age! And neither did this 'Tampa, Florida'! Exhausted and defeated, the only thing left to do would have been just to buy a ticket home . . .
